🚨practice location please read🚨

The other day we had a guy come from Duval school districts to practice saying that basically we needed a building utilization form with dcps to use the facilities. He left after me showing him that we have agreement with the school, we have practice insurance and we are an organization.

He told me they are auditing all duval public schools building utilization after hours because some fight happened at a high school across town at a football game at Kipp after hours with an organization that was using the field and they didn’t have a building utilization form so they are doing audits at different schools.

We’ve always had an agreement with the school principal and athletic director for us as an organization to sponsor the athletic department and we are good to go with practicing. Yesterday and this morning I had meetings with dcps and they basically want $800 per day for any organization to practice at the school which is astronomical and not feasible for any groups. Dcps school board also advised me that there is an optional clause to get a joint use agreement with city of Jacksonville and we would have 3 years use at no cost. I’ve contacted them and sent it what we needed to get that ball rolling.

We only have a month and half left in this season so we will have to make it work through this unfortunate situation. We can train running at the park also throws but the main issue is the jumps until we can possible get a joint use agreement with city of Jax. I’m still able to go to the school track with small groups and do jumps but $800 a practice for an organization is ridiculous. It’s gonna be hard for any outside organizations at public schools but I’m looking into providence also as an option since it’s private. Since this all happened this morning I need today to figure out what parks and locations we will be at moving forward for the next month.
